Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise (born Tina Louise) is an American writer, singer and actor most famous for her role as Ginger Grant in Gilligan's Island. The musical Bettle performed in Two's Company was her first stage role in the 50s. After that, she performed in numerous Broadway shows before becoming a star on national stage with Li'l Abner in 1957. Within the same calendar year she released her first musical album, This is Tina Time. Louise made her foray into Hollywood playing Griselda Walden on God's Little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film was praised widely and Louise was awarded her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. When she was an undergraduate at Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. Her most memorable performance came through in 1964 when she enrolled with CBS for the role of Ginger Grant in 1964. Louise Balfour managed to juggle between Broadway as well as Hollywood playing a somber, sombre character contrast to her image of an attractive doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1 and Helen Magnus, but in the last few years she's gained recognition for herself as a director of popular TV shows like Supernatural. Her birthplace was in Essex August 28th in 1965. Her family later moved to Toronto for her early years. When she was chosen to play the role as Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997. She was there ever from then on.
