Zoe-perry
Perry is a Chicago native, born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to start acting in front of her family until an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the stress it would result in. Perry states that she did not want to perform in highschool but decided to start acting as a social activity while at Northwestern University when she switched to the university from Boston University. Perry began her career as an actress in New York after graduation, landing minor parts in Law & Order: Criminal Intent. But homesickness made Perry return to California and pursue a career as a theater actress. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together in The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she appeared alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning Drama Anna Christie. It is part of the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry was in nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family during 2016. In 2017, she was a part-time character in ABC's thriller about politics Scandal that starred her father. In addition, she played the younger Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The actress was chosen for the role despite her close family connection to the character.
